When we originally built this house we placed a coat closet in the small hallway off the kitchen.  We have a large kitchen with plenty of cabinets so I didn't really need a pantry.  Then I got into baking, I mean really got into baking as in all those must have and really want baking paraphernalia.   With my cabinets filled I needed to turn the coat closet into a pantry.
