The Culinary Canine Cuisine Chef

Kirby, being the discerning culinary Canine Cuisine Chef, loves to whip up tasty, healthy meals and treats in the kitchen.  He knows what he likes, and doesn't like, as he puts that amazing doggie nose to work sniffing out delectable tastes and aromas.
A pinch of this, a cup of that until it's just right.  Of course he relies on his beloved sidekick, his newly painted orange Kitchenaid mixer, to easily whip his food choices into shape.
He knows and appreciates that it saves his paws from having to mix his batter with a spoon over and over and over again.
He especially likes using his collection of cookie cutters for that perfect cookie but says sometimes a drop cookie is just so easy.
And when he needs to chop some ingredients for a good stew or needs more oats ground into flour for some tasty treats, he turns to his Cuisinart food processor to get the job done.
Of course some of his world famous meals require a little cooking on the stove but Kirby knows slow cooking releases and melds together all those savory flavors.
Even as he oftentimes finds the delectable aromas can make waiting such a difficult thing to have to do.
Kirby has learned quite a bit in his three young years in order to create such fine five paw cuisine for his canine furiends.  So be sure to check out his recipes located in The Canine Chef's Cookbook, the online cookbook for discerning doggers everywhere.
Blooper Shots:
From this angle Kirby looks like he could fit in the mixing bowl and looks a little concerned about that prospect.
This shot is better but Kirby still looked a little worried.
Not really sure what this expression was all about but he was definitely trying to convey something.
This was such a cute idea but I had to help him since the mixer is rather tall. Trying to hold him with one hand so he wouldn't fall and working the camera with the other hand resulted in a blurry shot.
There you have it. The inside scoop on this little chef's culinary talents in the kitchen. So grab a recipe, some wholesome ingredients, and whip up a delightful dish of goodness for your canine companions. They'll love you even more!  Bone appetit!

Dorkie Moment #5

Everyone who knows Kirby knows how much he loves to go for a swim.  We take him to the lake quite often throughout the summer.  It was mid-afternoon and hot when we came upon this large water fountain while on vacation in New Orleans.

Kirby thought the water looked so cool and inviting.  The longer his tongue hangs is a sure gauge as to how hot he is...

He was trying to reach down to the water for a cool drink...

I told him to stop and wait as I pulled his water bottle from my bag.  He stood back up and looked at me. One minute he was standing there, the next minute he had jumped right in!  I didn't capture his jump on film since I wasn't expecting it.  I did catch pictures of Doug pulling him out.

Oh how he wanted to jump right back in and swim.

I can never stay angry at that sweet face! After all he just wanted to cool off.

It really was funny and, heck, the truth is we would have let him swim to his heart's content if we had thought we wouldn't get in trouble.

Just a dorky moment in a Dorkie’s life...

Jammies Are So Adorkable!

I never thought about jammies for Kirby until some of the dogs and cats on Facebook starting showing up in their jammies.  They were so cute I couldn't resist purchasing a few for Kirby.  A yellow pair with the cutest little duckies and a blue striped pair resembling long johns with the customary butt flap. They just give any dog or cat that oh, so sweet factor.

There is a huge selection of jammies for dogs and cats from super cute to super stylish with every color and you could desire.  Besides looking cute they keep a dog warm at night when most people turn down the heat before going to bed and can keep the hair from shedding all over those beautiful bed linens.

When I put the first jammie on Kirby he didn't know what to do!  He had never worn something on his back legs so he just stood there frozen.  We had to walk away so he would start walking which he did very stiffly.  However by the end of the first night he was running and romping in them.  Ooops! We did discover this one covered too much when he went out to potty in the morning.

I did notice Doug share a "you poor little guy" look with Kirby whose expression clearly had that "why mama" look.  I had no sympathy since I am in love with his jammies - so adorkably cute!

Then we sent out a model call on Kirby's Facebook Page for jammie pics...
