Banana Maple Crisps
/I just made a Maple Banana Bread which was so delish! The aroma, the texture, the flavor, I thought why not turn it into a dog treat. Trying to decide what flour to use I finally decided to just leave it out to see what would happen. Bananas work well as a replacement for eggs to bind together but to really make the mixture stay together I used ground flax seed in place of the vegetable oil. It worked out quite well for a crispy, chewy treat which, by the way, Kirby has been forced to share with the human members of his pack.

The smaller and thinner, the less time it will take to bake. It's even easier to spread out the mixture on the baking sheet and cut into small squares halfway through the baking using a pizza cutter so you can snap the pieces apart once cooled.
These should last at least a week in an airtight container, several weeks in the refrigerator, and up to six months in the freezer.
