9 Frostings For Special Dog Treats
/I make dog treats year round. For special occasions I like to frost them. I'm sure Kirby appreciates the extra steps to take a simple dog treat to a barkworthy dog treat. A Pup Party, Barkday, or just a play date are perfect events to show off your pretty dog treats and share the bounty. A special meal screams for Mashed Potato Frosting!
I haven't listed the calories or fat from calories because it would depend on the number of dog treats involved. Remember these are for treats so feed sparingly.
Yogurt Frosting
Yields: 1 cupCook Time: None
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup tapioca starch

- Mix in milk a teaspoon at a time until consistency of frosting.
- Decorate or simply dip the dog treats. Place on wax paper and let dry.
This frosting will harden as it dries. Kirby doesn’t care for the bland flavor so I like to sweeten and color it with a very small amount of pureed fruit: strawberries, pineapple, or cherries.
