Tuna Salad
/Tuna Salad
Tuna and veggies - just 2 ingredients, just 2 minutes, dinner is served! Kirby loves fish which is a good thing since tuna is low in fat and calories and packed with lean protein, vitamins B and D, and omega-3 fatty acids. Of course all Kirby cares about is that it tastes good.
Ingredients
- 1 - 5 oz can of tuna
- 3 heaping tsp of vegetable babyfood*
Preparation Instructions
1. Drain tuna and place in small bowl.
2. Stir in three heaping teaspons of a vegetable baby food.
3. Mix well and serve.
*I like the mixed vegetables which contain carrots, green beans, and peas. Any dog friendly veggies will work so use the ones your dog likes or, since they are pureed, now is the time to sneak in those veggies your dog doesn't particularly like. I think Kirby must be the only dog in the world who doesn't like carrots (me either) so I try to incorporate them into a lot of his meals and treats.
Choose natural baby foods containing veggies and water only. Avoid any containing sugar, seasonings, or additives.
