Bananaramas Dog Treats

Just enough sweetness to satisfy that sweet tooth and a whole lotta goodness!  Bananas are very low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium, a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin C, potassium and manganese, and a very good source of vitamin B6.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups oat flour
  • 2 cups brown rice flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
  • 4 mashed medium bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Directions

  1. Thoroughly mix together all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. This dough will be sticky so place in refrigerator for about 15 to 20 minutes to chill.
  3. Either drop by teaspoonful or roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness using a sheet of wax paper between the dough and the roller. Cut with your favorite cookie cutter.
  4. Place on lined baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  5. Turn off oven and leave for about an hour

Kirby likes lots of bananas which makes this a sticky, wet dough. For a drier dough, use less banana or add more flour. Store in the refrigerator in an air tight container for up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to six months.
